Authorship Criteria
ABMS follows the ICMJE authorship recommendations.
- Substantive intellectual contributions to concept OR design; OR acquisition, analysis OR interpretation of data, authorship depends on contribution,
- Drafting, OR revising it critically for relevant intellectual content AND
- Final approval of the version to be published AND
- Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
The co-authors and their contributions should be identified at the beginning and details submitted as the declaration. All those designated as authors should meet all four criteria for authorship. Those who do not meet all four criteria should be acknowledged. Also, as per the journal's policy and to discourage gift/ghost authorship, a maximum of 6 authors belonging to not more than 4 institutions will be considered.
